How To Uninstall the Driver (Unified Virtual HID)

Some users have reported that uninstalling Unified Remote Server does not remove the driver. If you are experiencing this problem, then try the suggestions outlined below. Do not manually remove registry entries or driver files as this can harm your system.

1

Start by checking if the driver is indeed still installed. Open the start menu and search for "Device Manager". In the menu, select "View" > "Devices by Connection"

2

Restart your computer if you haven't done so already since you last tried uninstalling Unified Remote Server. This is important since it will help flush any invalid state.

3

Now, install Unified Remote Server again. Make sure "Enable driver input simulation" is checked! Otherwise the uninstaller won't attempt to uninstall the driver.

4

Restart your computer again. This is important since it will make sure that the driver is in a valid state once you try to uninstall.

5

Now, go to Control Panel > Programs and Features and uninstall Unified Remote Server

6

Repeat Step 1 to verify that the driver has been uninstalled. If it's still there, restart your computer, and then check the device manager again.

7

If that still doesn't work, you can try to manually uninstall the devices using the device manager. Use "View" > "Devices by Connection" and then expand "Unified Virtual HID". Right-click and uninstall the devices under "Unified Virtual HID".
